I went to the premiere of a documentary called “Gogol Bordello Non Stop” tonight. Obviously it was about the band Gogol Bordello, which happens to be one of my favorite bands, and was a pretty good film. It really gave insight to how the band came together and what they stand for.

There was only one thing I hated and that was the 4 middle aged self claimed “Gogol Groupies” that sat in front of me. They hooped and hollered throughout the entire movie, talking loudly and descriptively about how much they wanted to screw Eugene Hutz. Eww. Nobody should have to sit through that for 2 hours.

It got even worse when they saw that Elijah Wood was at this particular screening. The second the movie was over they rushed over to him and just stood there, staring at him. I would have loved to meet him (and slyly ask if he wanted to be in a student film for free) but I didn’t want to throw myself into the crazy fan group. Oh well, I doubt he would have wanted to be a restaurant manager anyways.

I am so excited for Thanksgiving, Stephie and Noah are coming to visit which will be amazing! My sister and her friend Dominic are coming down for Thanksgiving dinner, so that should be fun. It will be interesting to make a full vegetarian meal for a bunch of carnivores, but I’m up to the challenge.
